The Commonwealth of the Bahamas is a constitutional monarchy comprising a chain of islands north west of the West Indies. The natural features of the West Indies form the main motif of the flag, which was adopted by the Bahamas in 1973, the year that the islands achieved independence.

The aquamarine and yellow stripes represent the sand and the sea that surrounds the archipelago. The black is said to represent the vigour and force of a united people. The triangle indicates the enterprise and determination of the Bahamian people to develop the rich resources of land and sea.

Foxflags flags are made of the highest quality bunting material for outdoor use and cannot be compared to cheaper alternatives available online.
